- Day shift, Monday to Friday.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree in a related discipline preferred.
- Minimum of five years in progressive leadership roles, with at least three years at the director level in a Surgical Teaching Acute Care Hospital (STACH).
- Registered Nurse License for the state of Alabama, valid for single state or multistate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of our Medical/Surgical Unit, ensuring excellence in patient service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with the Chief Nursing Officer and Assistant Chief Nursing Officer to enhance care standards and implement strategic initiatives.
- Manage staff development through continuous education, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
- Control unit budgets and financial plans, aligning them with the broader financial goals and operational objectives of the hospital.
- Champion a collaborative work environment, fostering open communication and a team-oriented approach to healthcare delivery.
- Drive innovative solutions in patient care through critical thinking and effective problem-solving strategies.
